Ms. Janelle Lee
Ballet Teacher
Ms. Janelle began her dance journey at the age of 7 and has since developed a strong foundation in ballet and contemporary dance. She has been a dedicated member of Yan Ballet Academy for over six years, where she trained intensively under the guidance of Ms. Yan and Ms. Emily through the YBA Teacher Training Programme.
Currently pursuing a Diploma in Dance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Ms. Janelle continues to refine her technique and artistry. Over the past nine years, she has performed in numerous national and international competitions, consistently showcasing both technical precision and stage presence. In addition to her performance work, Ms. Janelle began choreographing at the age of 13, creating original works for showcases and school events. She is also a dancer with the Singapore Youth Ballet Company, where she performed in Journey through the Doldrums in 2022.
Ms. Janelle’s accolades include:
- Gold Award – International Elite Dance Festival
- Gold Award – Hong Kong Challenge Cup
- 2nd Place – Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Semi-Finals, Indonesia
- Qualified Finalist – Youth America Grand Prix Finals, New York
Her teaching is marked by warmth, patience, and a deep commitment to student development. She connects naturally with young dancers and takes joy in nurturing their growth, encouraging them to explore their potential and build confidence through movement.
Ms. Janelle brings to the classroom a blend of creative energy, disciplined training, and heartfelt dedication to inspiring the next generation of dancers.
