Ms. Jane Tan
Ballet Teacher

Ms Jane has been teaching ballet since 1998 and holds a Royal Academy of  Dance – Certificate of Higher Education in Dance Teaching (University of Durham). Ms. Jane is a Registered Teacher with RAD. Ms Jane started learning ballet when she was only three years old. After completing most of the RAD levels, she attended RAD summer schools in Singapore as well as at Pittsburgh Youth Ballet in Pennsylvania, USA, where she had a character dance solo choreographed for her by Gennadi Vostrikov. At Texas Christian University, she trained in the Vaganova style under Li LChou Cheng and Ceyun Ozsoy. On her return to Singapore, she took classes for 2 years under Anthony Tay (French) and Tony Llacer (Balanchine) under the Scholar’s programme at Dance Arts Studio. As a student, she performed Coppelia and Nutcracker with Singapore Dance Theatre and Swan Lake with The Royal Ballet. Ms. Jane was also enrolled in Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts from 2004-2006. Her student has also gone on to become a RAD certified ballet teacher.

Ms Jane has a special interest in dance kinesiology and the prevention of dance injuries.
