Ms. Cheyenne Yeo
Ballet Teacher
Ms. Cheyenne was born and raised in Malacca, Malaysia, where she began her formal ballet training. Demonstrating strong commitment and discipline, she completed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Classical Graded and Vocational syllabi.
Alongside her ballet education, Ms. Cheyenne broadened her artistic range by training in Chinese dance, where she attained certification under the Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance syllabus. This exposure to both Western classical ballet and traditional Chinese dance has given her a nuanced understanding of movement quality, musicality, and expressive storytelling across cultures.
Ms. Cheyenne further pursued her professional dance education at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where she majored in Contemporary Dance and Ballet. During her time at NAFA, she performed in major institutional productions and worked closely with faculty and peers in a rigorous conservatory environment that emphasised both performance excellence and artistic development.
In addition to her performance background, Ms. Cheyenne has experience choreographing competition works for students participating in international dance competitions. Her choreographic approach reflects clarity of structure, musical sensitivity, and an understanding of age-appropriate and level-appropriate development for young dancers.
As an educator, Ms. Cheyenne is dedicated to nurturing strong fundamentals, artistry, and confidence in her students. She values thoughtful progression, attention to detail, and creating a supportive learning environment where dancers are encouraged to grow both technically and artistically.
