Cindy Kwan
Ballet Teacher

Ms. Cindy Kwan is an accomplished ballet educator and classically trained dancer with more than ten years of experience. She began her ballet training at the age of four at Marlupi Dance Academy in Indonesia. Her talent and dedication later earned her a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, where she continued her advanced training and completed her studies.

Trained in both the Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova traditions, Ms. Cindy has developed a strong foundation in classical technique, placement, musicality, coordination and expressive performance. Her extensive stage experience includes leading roles in productions such as La Fille mal gardée, Beauty and the Beast, The Nutcracker, Aladdin and La Bayadère. She was also selected as a finalist at the Genée International Ballet Competition in New Zealand.

As an educator, Ms. Cindy has taught dancers of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. Her classes are known for their clear structure, precise instruction and thoughtful attention to each student’s individual learning needs. She is skilled at adapting her teaching while maintaining the discipline and technical standards required in classical ballet.

In the studio, Ms. Cindy combines rigorous training with a warm and encouraging approach. She helps students establish secure technical foundations while developing confidence, musical sensitivity and artistic expression. Through her teaching, she seeks to cultivate not only capable dancers, but also disciplined and expressive young artists with a lasting appreciation for classical ballet.
